Faking It is an American teen sitcom series created by Carter Covington that aired on MTV, starring Rita Volk, Katie Stevens, Gregg Sulkin, Michael Willett and Bailey De Young. The show revolves around best friends Amy Raudenfeld (Rita Volk) and Karma Ashcroft (Katie Stevens) who are mistaken for a closeted lesbian couple and outed by their popular, openly gay classmate Shane Harvey (Michael Willett) resulting in a surge of popularity at their offbeat high school. They decide to go along with the ruse as Karma has long desired to be popular, though her crush on Shane's best friend Liam Booker (Gregg Sulkin) threatens to further complicate the situation, as does Amy's conservative soon-to-be stepsister Lauren Cooper (Bailey De Young), who discovers that they're faking it.
The show was renewed for a third season on April 21, 2015. After the completion of the third season, Faking It was cancelled by MTV. During the course of the series, 38 episodes of Faking It aired over three seasons, concluding on May 17, 2016.
MTV has ordered an additional 10 episodes of its boundary-shattering romantic comedy Faking It, which follows two best friends who pretend to be lesbians in order to gain popularity until real feelings get in the way of the charade.
The handful of episodes will act as the season 2B when it returns next year. The series stars Katie Stevens, Rita Volk, Gregg Sulkin, Michael Willett, and Bailey De Young, whose character was revealed to be intersex in the second-season premiere.
Without giving anything away, that is definitely coming. What I wanted to explore in these 10 episodes is showing that the real person keeping Lauren from accepting this part of herself is herself. A lot of her journey is expecting people to be offended or disgusted, and reject her.
OBAMA: We remain a young nation. But in the words of scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.
JERRY: Good, just getting some fruit for myself. Gotta have fruit in the house. I like it as a snack. Wholesome, natural, chock-full of vitamins. I don't know let's see... mangos... four plums with red on the inside... avocado... ooo, just right... and three plantains ought to do it. 2b1af7f3a8
